The Men- “Open Your Heart”
I’ve got to say, I’ve had this track on repeat since yesterday, and let me tell you, if you like The Clash style vocals, and any type of DIY Hardcore/Punk, this rough little diddy will find its way into your head with ease! Enjoy.
Cheers,

So I woke up quite haphazardly this morning, checked my email, looked at my to do list, and scrolled through Pitchfork’s best new music column. As I hit play on this oddly titled song, a catchy synth-goth track met my open ears and it only seemed fitting to smoke a cigarette out my window. As the track played, I found my self nodding and swaying to the beat almost unconsciously. To me, this sounds like a cross of The Cure and Neon Indian. Definitely TAKE A LISTEN!

This event is very self explanatory. From the 18th-20th of February, Ampersand is throwing one hell of an electronic Mardi Gras party at the Sugar Mill. Special guests include: Knife Party, The 12th Planet, Crizzly, Flinch, DJ Blend, and many, many more. If you’re looking for a rave-centric Mardi Gras party, be sure to get your tickets NOW!

Peter Wolf Crier
I will be brief with my analysis due to the fact that I feel this is one of the only modern artists in which the music speaks for itself. This, however, will not stop me from explaining that I’ve had the record “inter-be” on repeat for the last 48 hours. The rhythmic patterns, the guitar riffs, and the vocal style is captivating, heart-felt, and memorable. Peter Wolf Crier, composed of Peter Pisano and Brian Moen, is a group with a taste for vinyl-styled recordings and haunting melodies. In my opinion, he is one of the best modern artists in said genre. His music is catchy, meditative, and somewhat melancholy. Please, my words will not do these songs justice, listen and judge for yourselves.
cheers,
-Aaron Lev
